NYC Marathon 2010: Racing Verité

Rinus from Holland put together this “runner’s eye view” of the marathon. He’s compressed his 4:17:19 run into 00:07:11 of footage. I think we refer to that sort of timing as a “New York Minute.”

  1. Thanks for sharing. So Rinus started his marathon almost an hour after the first cannons went off? The finish line clock said 5:XX:XX and he ran a 4:17. That’s a long time to wait.

  2. That’s awesome, really get the feel for the race. Since I hope to be running NYCM next year, at least now I know to bring my Dramamine….

  3. Yes, this is a great little movie. Makes you want to run it. I like how he filmed it with regard for his audience — stopping to get different camera angles, giving the viewer a feel for the race. Well done Rinus!
